Halloween, Hauntings and De-Gunking

Annually, the YA Rebels have a pumpkin carving contest.  Here’s the contribution Amy Christine Parker and I made to the whole thing.  Quick note: I’m supposed to be Abby from NCIS, but no doubt she’d have been immensely less squicked-out by the squishy innards.  You’ll see what I mean…

And here’s how my pumpkin turned out when my husband got his hands on it (and his dremel tool) the next day.  Spiffy!

  1. Interesting you’re a big fan of Edgar Allan Poe! I had no idea he was your idol. I contemplated on using Edgar Allan Poe as the theme in my latest novel, but ended up with another literary idol. No wonder “Edgar” kept insisting. 🙂

Ooooh, how eerie, Amy. At least you had your brother. I don’t know if that helped though. Oy.

Lucienne, LOVED how you went to Salem for research and was able to incorporate it into FANTABULOUS. I think that’s what made it even more fabulous. How creepy about the black window. Yeah. I’d step away in a hurry too.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN Lucienne and Amy! Another great duo video.

Oh, and Hubby did an AMAZING job on the carving!!!! Very impressive!

  2. Martha, it’s great to hear from you! Yeah, Amy’s got some fabulously creepy stories. Love them! And Salem is an amazing town, even more so because I had a native guide who does have a role to play in the book. (You know Donato? Well, so do I!)
