Necronomicon is a local science fiction, fantasy and horror convention my family and I go to every year we don’t have a conflict. I’m very excited that we’ll be back this year and to see the special guests Shanna Swendson and Ken Mitchroney. For those interested, the conference is being held this coming weekend at the Holiday Inn Tampa Westshore and has a host of interesting events including the masquerade, where it’s just possible I’ll be sporting a classic Wonder Woman costume I put together myself. Aside from that, here’s my schedule, the better to find me, hopefully with scads of my books to be signed! (Although I’ll have some with me for the noon signing on Saturday.) I look forward to seeing some of you there!

About to head to the airport for the Romance Writers of America’s Annual Conference.  Days and days of meetings, appointments, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, drinks, parties and sleep deprivation.  I love it!  A chance to reconnect with clients, editors, bloggers and friends.  For anyone looking for me, I’m doing the agent appointments.  I’ll also be part of the big Literacy Signing tonight and the Samhain signing from 1-2:30 on Saturday.  Come and find me!

In other news, Amy Christine Parker was kind enough to fly solo yesterday on our YA Rebels vlog. Check her out!  She’s talking about storyboarding and SAVE THE CAT.

That’s all for now.  “See” you next week with pics from RWA!

nexus Tonight, the place to be is the Angry Robot live chat with Ramez Naam, among others.  Just look at this line up here!  It’s happening at 8:30 p.m. EDT, so I’m a little late posting, but it’s been so busy today that I never even got my second cup of coffee.  For those of you who know me, don’t worry, I have not actually taken anyone’s head off…yet.  The night is still young.

Vamped Saturday, however…Saturday, May 3rd you’re going to want to chat with fellow YA author Sherry D. Ficklin and author-me over at Jessica Porter’s Read On because not only will we be vastly informative and entertaining (I hope), but we’ll be doing some awesome giveaways.  Free stuff!  The chance to pick our brains!  What more could you want?  (Yes, yes…world peace, the man or woman of your dreams, the winning lottery ticket, but aside from all that!)

Teach-Me-a-Lesson250 The above may go straight out the window if you’re in California.  I get that entirely, because in CA Saturday is California Bookstore Day, and I insist that you hie thyself to your closest brick and mortar store and browse their selection, meet visiting authors, get signatures, etc.  If you’re in the San Fran area, you might want to do this at Village Books where amazeballs erotic author Jasmine Haynes will be signing from 4-6, along with other authors popping in at various times, schedule here.

I’m excited to be headed off for DragonCon tomorrow in Atlanta.  Rather than give you the link to my author site (oops, there it is), I thought I’d cut and paste my panels and the rest of my authorial appearances for the year down below.  Note: when not on panels, I’m likely to be found at Tairen’s Lair, Booth 2205, 2304 – Floor 2 in America’s Mart (Peachtree Street across from Hyatt Regency & the Peachtree Street Mall), where I and a bunch of other amazing authors will be selling and signing our books, including Faith Hunter, D.B. Jackson/David B. Coe, Kalayna Price, Rod Belcher, Mari Mancusi, Cheryl Wilson, James Tuck, John Hartness, Deidre Knight, Elaine Issaak, Diana Peterfreund and others!
